Martin Brown

Water Resources Manager

Mr. Brown is a civil engineer who holds Diplomas in Water and Environmental Management from the University of Bristol (UK). He has worked in the field of water and tailings management and dewatering systems for major mining operations and projects in Chile and South America for over 15 years.

He has a diverse background in mining applied hydrogeology. For mining operations his experience includes planning and management of water resources and open-pit dewatering systems through 3D hydrogeological and pore pressure numerical models, and support in the elaboration of environmental impact assessments. He also has been fluids transport manager with responsibility over tailings storage facilities, water supply systems and slurry pipelines. Since joining Itasca, his experience includes elaboration of 3D hydrogeology numerical models for open-pit mines, assessment of dewatering systems, and support in the elaboration of environmental permits related to groundwater management.
