Christopher Pantano

Senior Hydrogeologist

Christopher Pantano is a senior hydrogeologist with over 13 years of experience in groundwater modeling, dewatering system design, and hydrogeologic characterization for mining and water resource projects. He has developed and applied numerical groundwater models to support a wide range of objectives, including dewatering planning, hydrologic impact assessments, and post-closure pit lake evaluations. A key area of expertise is transient pore pressure prediction for geotechnical slope stability and underground mine planning, which requires close collaboration with geotechnical and mine planning teams. His geochemistry experience includes groundwater quality assessment, hydrogeochemical conceptual modeling, and integration of geochemical behavior into predictive tools, such as pit lake simulations. Mr. Pantano has led and supported international projects across North and South America, including the development of EIS permitting models for complex, multi-basin groundwater systems. His work is grounded in interdisciplinary collaboration and supported by extensive field experience, which includes well drilling and completions, aquifer testing, packer testing, and water quality sampling. He's well versed in numerous groundwater modeling codes, such as MODFLOW, FEFLOW, and PEST, which he utilizes to deliver transparent, defensible results. He is a licensed professional geologist in both Arizona and Utah.
