In this critical sales role, you will be responsible for securing timely subscription renewals, driving revenue growth, and expanding client partnerships. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Sales, the Subscription Renewal Specialist manages the full subscription renewal cycle. This role is a critical part of our sales team, focused on driving on-time customer retention while also providing exceptional account support and identifying new sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end subscription renewal process to ensure on-time customer retention
- Prepare, deliver, and negotiate renewal quotes and agreements to exceed sales targets
- Identify and qualify upsell and cross-sell opportunities during client conversations
- Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships that drive satisfaction and loyalty
- Serve as a trusted advisor, understanding customer needs and aligning them with product solutions
- Track renewal opportunities and maintain accurate pipeline records in CRM systems
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to streamline processes and reduce churn
- Proficiency in subscription-based sales
- Demonstrate proficiency in subscription-based sales with strong negotiation and urgency skills
Key Success Factors
- Consistently achieving and exceeding renewal rate targets
- Strong customer relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to balance high-volume renewal transactions with consultative client engagement
- Accuracy and timeliness in forecasting, reporting, and documentation
Minimum Requirements
- Prior sales experience (subscription-based preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Technology systems, internet and social media savvy – preferably experience with electronic payments, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Sales Automation Platforms, and Email Marketing Services
- Familiarity with online payment methods and electronic transactions.
- Experience with subscription-based products
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Job Type: Full-time
Location: Downtown Minneapolis, Barrel House boutique office building overlooking the Mississippi River and Stone Arch Bridge. Company-paid parking or bus passes provided
Schedule: Monday–Friday; primarily on-site with occasional hybrid/remote work at the supervisor’s discretion.
